Privacy policy

What we collect

• In the application: name, mobile number, state, district, date of birth, gender, type of membership, and email (optional).
• For verification: a photo/scan of an ID proof (for Aadhaar we ask only for masked Aadhaar), the payment UTR/transaction ID, amount, date and (optionally) a screenshot.
• For security: your device’s IP address and browser details — to prevent fraud and misuse.

Why

• To check your application, grant membership and issue a member card.
• To contact you by call, WhatsApp or SMS about this application and membership (with your consent).
• Public verification of member cards — showing only name, member number, type and validity; never your mobile, address, date of birth or ID.
• To meet legal obligations and keep accounts.

Who can see it

• Only authorised people at the Foundation, and only as far as the work needs. Every view of an ID document is logged.
• We never sell your data. It may be shared with a government authority only when the law requires. Technical services that run this website (servers) work under confidentiality.

How long we keep it

• For the duration of membership, and afterwards for as long as the law or accounting requires.
• Unfinished applications are deleted after 12 months. ID documents of rejected or cancelled applications are deleted within 90 days.

Your rights

• You may ask to access, correct or erase your data (where the law allows) and to withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing done before it.

Cookies and tracking

At present this website uses no advertising-tracking cookies. Your unfinished application is saved only in your own phone’s browser so you can complete it later.

Children

Membership is only for people aged 18 or above. We do not knowingly collect children’s data.
